As a parent of 3 teenagers, I see the impact that social media can have on kids.  Social Media has only been around for just over 10 years yet it has become central to how we communicate with each other.

Whilst I am passionate about social media and love how it helps me to share what I feel is important, it can also have a dark side. Increasing stories of kids who have been bullied online, inappropriate images being uploaded without consent and even just the fear of missing out,  can ruin self esteem, lead to depression, isolation and even suicide.  I knew I had to take action.

Keeping Safe on Social is a community for parents who want to keep their kids safe on social media and help protect them from cyberbullying, sexting, fomo, scams and keep their online interactions safe.  It started for me as a passion project after seeing the impact of cyberbullying on my kids and their friends.

With my knowledge of social media and living through the teenage years with my own kids, I felt I had to do something to help parents navigate through the issues that social media can bring into the lives of their kids as well as their families.

I have set up a Facebook group where parents can come to discuss the issues they are having, seek guidance and support of parents going through the same things as them.  You are not alone.
