Facebook wants to protect its community from hate speech or discriminatory targeting. Facebook has found a small percentage of people have entered offensive education and employment fields and this was showing up in Facebook's ads interface as targetable audiences for campaigns. They immediately removed them.
To ensure that targeting is not used for discriminatory purposes, Facebook has removed these self-reporting targeting fields until they have the right processes in place to prevent this issue.
Good job Facebook!
